A Powerful Prayer!

Hello NewLife Family,
Let’s circle back to our passage from Sunday, Eph. 1:15-23, and ponder Paul’s powerful prayer for a moment. Let’s remember these things:

Power: God's power towards us in Christ is the same that He demonstrated when He raised Jesus from the dead (Eph. 1: 19-20). That's real power!
Position: Jesus is in the heavenlies, seated at the right hand of His Father, having all things subjected to Him (Eph. 1:20). That’s real authority!
Place: We have a place with Jesus! In fact, as His body, we’re not just in close proximity to Him, He lives within us and we’re a part of His body (Eph. 1:22-23). That’s real intimacy!

Seeing that God has given those with faith in Jesus a place with Him, power in Him, and that Christ is in the position of victory, let us pray in this way! This is a powerful prayer, asking God to give us more of His Spirit, who would impart to us wisdom, revelation, and knowledge in and of Christ so we would fully grasp what God has given to us in Christ, (please see Eph. 1:18-19).

Dear friends, let us pray for one another with power in the name and authority of Jesus!
