I think it's fascinating that the apostle Paul use the imagery of the body as a comparison for the church in relationship to Christ. He listed the APEST gifts as given to equip and build up the body (Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Shepherds, Teachers) (Eph. 4:11-12). That being said, every gift has been given to us by Christ (Eph 4:7) and therefore, we should use them to encourage one another, to build one another up, and to mature in Him.

We all have an important role in the body and a gift from Jesus. Let's be sure to use them!
