Galatians 1

The Gospel is the power of God to rescue us from the present evil age. This is through Jesus, the Messiah, who gave Himself for our sins (Gal. 1:3-4). Paul’s strong exhortation to the Galatian believers was to not desert Jesus in order to go to a different Gospel. Paul clearly expresses that there is no other Gospel (Gal. 1:6-9) and that a curse is to be upon those who distort the preaching of the true gospel. We have a deep responsibility therefore to stay focused on Jesus and to be discerning as we live out our lives in Him. This discernment comes from growing in Him and training ourselves to know good from evil (Heb. 5:14). All of this is based on the grace that God has revealed to us in Jesus (Gal. 1:15-16).  He set us apart even before we were born because He desired so much to have us in His family. This is who we are in Christ. Let us be sober in our living in Christ that nothing would distract us.
