God's Amazing Grace

God’s grace is, as the beautiful and beloved hymn states, “amazing”. Without it, we’re lost. With His grace, God saved us through faith (Eph. 2:8) and raised us with Jesus. This is because of His wonderful love for us and the richness of His mercy. While God’s grace deserves many responses, there are two in particular that stand out to me.

Worship, praise, and adoration for the Father who loves us in this way, for the Son who laid down His life for us, and for the Spirit who fills and seals us in Christ.
Humility. This should humble us because we must remember that we were the walking dead before His grace. Humility is also the right response because there was and is nothing we could have done to affect the state of our lostness. God did this in Christ for us and there’s no place for boasting on our part (Eph. 2:9).

How do we respond to this gift of Grace from God? We receive it and let it bring His life to us!
