God's Glorious Grace

Hi NewLife Family, 
We began walking through the book of Ephesians on Sunday. For our first study, we looked at Eph. 1:1-14. It’s Paul’s explanation to the Ephesians of the spiritual blessings they have received in Christ (1:3). In fact, he’s quick to point out that God has given them every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.

To name a few of these blessings:

• God chose us in Christ that we would be holy
• He adopted us in love
• He gave us full sonship in Christ
• We have redemption and forgiveness of sins in Him
• We’re sealed in the Holy Spirit.

Why would God do all of this? In short, it was His good pleasure and plan (1:5). So much so, that He works in us to will and work for His good plan (Phil. 2:12-13).

The call then is for us to work out in our lives what He’s working in us. In order to do this, we must ask two questions of ourselves:

What do I see God working on in me?
How do I work that out?

Let’s keep working out what He’s working within us!
