Resurrection Sunday!

He is Risen! He is Risen Indeed!
Like He said He would!​

Imagine this with me: you stand and witness the suffering and agonizing death of Jesus on the cross. You see His dead body taken down from the cross and buried hastily in a new tomb. You wait and wait for what feels like eternity over the Sabbath before, finally, you can go to His tomb. So, you leave to go to His tomb and as you arrive, an earthquake happens, an angel descends from heaven, rolls back the heavy stone and sits on it then says to you, “He is not here for He has risen, as He said He would.” (Matt. 28:6) I think each of us would be astounded and surprised, and yes, fearful, as Mary and Mary both were.

And, all according to the way He said it would happen. In fact, as they ran from the place to tell His disciples, they ran into the Risen Lord Jesus! 

The Risen Lord Jesus continues to be true to His Word. We can take Him at His Word, rely on His Word, and build our lives on Him. On Easter Sunday, as the NewLife family, we got to witness 11 brothers and sisters share their testimonies of Jesus and be baptized. What a wonderful celebration we got to share with them!

Let’s keep taking the Risen Lord at His Promises.
