My Fellow Priests,

We are a blood marked, blood covered, blood bought people, purchased through Jesus to serve our Father as royal priests to proclaim His excellencies (1 Peter 2:9)! God has surrounded you with people, and He’s asking you to have a priestly ministry with them, to show them how amazing our God is. So, we’re not just nobodies, we’re priests as well. We walk in this tension, that we are each just one among billions and yet we are each chosen for sacred work on behalf of our God and humanity.

Our lives each become a platform for Him to show His Presence and His handiwork. Make no mistake about this, ministering in people’s lives can be messy, like the priests got messy in the Old Testament, offering sacrifices, serving by the fire all day, etc. So let us walk in the messy with people but let us not butcher them or one another. Jesus said they will know we’re His disciples by our love, not our sharp tongues, our irritated reactions or our frustrations with one another. Remember, we’re royal priests, we’re serving the King!

Think of someone in your life who is going through a hard time. Is Jesus is asking you to minister to them?
Who are the people in your life who need Jesus? Are you praying for them to know Him?
How is Jesus asking you to step up your priestly ministry at work? At home? In your marriage?
